What do CHS students do
on a weekend in October?
Leadership and Service
The Canton High School mission calls for learning outside the classroom and the Canton Public School vision calls for students to become "competent and creative thinkers,
curious and confident learners, and compassionate citizens." These hopes and goals were on display this weekend as CHS students participated in several leadership service events.
Norfolk County District Attorney's Leadership Conference at Gillette Stadium
10 student leaders from the Canton Character Crew, a new club that is looking to enhance school spirit, academic achievement and character building, attended the District Attorney's Leadership Conference on Sunday. Character Crew Advisor and Wellness Teacher Ryan Gordy and Senior Class Advisor and SADD Advisor Heather Sullivan coordinated the trip. As the sign reads, "Canton stands as "1" against substance abuse."
Breast Cancer Walk / Alzheimer's Walk
Over 100 students participated in the Avon Breast Cancer Walk on Sunday and the Alzheimer's Walk on Saturday. Community service is a big part of Canton High School's culture and Mr. Amico did a great job coordinating both events. Below are pictures of some of the students who participated.
