MCAS EXAM Schedule for Grade 10

All sophomores will take the Mathematics portion of the Grade 10 MCAS on Tuesday, May 19 and Wednesday, May 20. 

Math exams (Sessions 1 and Session 2) will take place from 8:16 to 11:25 a.m. in designated rooms. If students need extra time, they have until the end of the school day to complete the exam.

On Thursday, May 20: Students should bring in a calculator, as they are allowed to use one for Session 2.

Students will be notified of the MCAS testing schedule and of their room assignments in advance of testing. More information will be forthcoming about MCAS, and we are extremely confident that our students are prepared to excel on this exam.

2015 SAT Classroom Course

Class of 2016 and Parents/Guardians:


The Canton Parks and Recreation Department has partnered with Kaplan Test Preparation to provide an SAT prep class locally in Canton this fall. The classes will run at the Parks and Recreation building at 92 Pleasant Street and will meet for 5 weeks leading up to the Saturday, October 3rd SAT exam. Please see the following flyer.

Biology MCAS for Grade 9 students

June 9-10
Grade 9 students will take the Biology MCAS exam on Tuesday, June 9 and Wednesday, June 10. Additionally, these are the exam dates for any student (Grade 10-12) who is taking the Chemistry, Physics or Engineering MCAS exam.

CHS Community Problem Solvers take first

On Saturday, April 11, eleven extremely excited Canton Global Issues Problem Solving Teams and two courageous Individuals competed at State Bowl at Mass Maritime Academy in Buzzard Bay. The results of our teams are as follows:

Senior Division
First Place - Canton High School grade 10 team (Sean Hanscom, Christine Lee, Dasol Lee, Meryl Prendergast, Forest Schmid; coached by parent Renee Hanscom), Project: Team C.S.I. (Community Service, Inc.) *Will be representing Massachusetts at International Conference in Iowa this June.
