Cultivating Creativity!
Special Art Show: April 11, 10 am to 3 pm, Pequitside Farm
At times, challenges can open a new door, a new opportunity. Cultivating Creativity is a perfect example. Due to the high volume of snow, Artists in Bloom -- a very successful connection between Canton student arts and community members -- had to be canceled. But the K-12 Visual Arts Department told the students (whose artwork was selected) that their art would be displayed in a special event -- and Cultivating Creativity was born. The art show will feature selected work from:
1 student from each elementary classroom in each school
2 students from each GMS art class
Curricular examples from each studio area at CHS
Approximately 180-200 artworks from grades 1-12 will be on display. Additionally, the students wrote about their artwork and the writing is exhibited with their pieces.
If you have a moment, stop by and see the work of our talented students.
