THIS WEEK AT CHS (NOV. 24-28)

SPIRIT WEEK!
Thanksgiving Week is Spirit Week at Canton High School. It's an awesome time at school...Lots of fun and excitement and a great way to celebrate the big push through Term 1. Each day this week has a theme...there's the Thanksgiving rally on Wednesday morning....the annual Powder Puff game on Wednesday afternoon...and finally the traditional Thanksgiving game versus Stoughton.

A big thank you to Student Council and the Rally Committee for all of the planning and coordination.
Here is the schedule.

Parent-Teacher Conferences
Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Monday, Nov. 24, from 3-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. by appointment. These conferences, even in the brief 5-minute time frame, provide a great opportunity for parents and teachers to discuss a student's progress, strengths and areas for growth.

If you were not able to schedule a conference, please contact the teacher directly via email and phone. The discussion is extremely important, but it doesn't necessarily need to be during teacher-parent conferences

8th Grade Open House
Wednesday, Dec. 3 - 6:00-8:30 p.m. in the CHS Auditorium. CHS Open House for parents/guardians of 8th Graders and 8th Grade students. An informational letter was sent via email last week. The opening hour involves presentations from the CHS administration, parents and students, and then parents and students will travel throughout the school for multiple presentations by department coordinators.

Afterschool Academic Center

The Afterschool Academic Center in the library is now up and running. The library is open from 1:44 to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and there are two teachers available for tutoring in the library. It's a great opportunity for extra help. Here is the schedule.

Mondays           Mr. Dybdal (Math)
                         Ms. Busa (Spanish)

Tuesdays           Ms. Hayes (Special Ed.)
                        Ms. Rousseau (Science)

Wednesdays      Ms. Iacobucci (English)
                        Mr. Murphy (English)

Thursdays           Ms. Aspell (Math)

                       Mr. Sullivan (English/History)

If students want to access the library for technology or a structured environment, that's fine as well.
