THIS WEEK AT CHS (Oct. 6-OCT. 10)

Term 1 Progress Reports

Friday, October 3 marked the halfway point for Term 1. Progress Reports (Term 1) will be emailed home on Thursday, October 9. The Progress Reports will prompt you to check Edline for postings, and they will also note if a student is struggling in a class. The Edline reports, meanwhile, provide an approximate grade and the list of assessments used to derive the grade.

Parents....If you need help accessing Edline, please contact Doreen Shea at shead@cantonma.org.

Students...It is a great time to check in with teacher regarding your progress or any make-up work that needs to be completed. It's also a great time to spend some time afterschool in the library to get extra help or use the structured space to complete high-quality work.

But, most importantly, keep working hard in and outside the classroom. Your hard work will ensure great learning and a readiness for opportunity.

Afterschool Academic Center

The Afterschool Academic Center in the library is now up and running. The library is open from 1:44 to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and there are two teachers available for tutoring in the library. It's a great opportunity for extra help.

If students want to access the library for technology or a structured environment, that's fine as well.

Late Bus

The Late Bus is available on Mondays and Thursdays. Students taking the late bus must report to the Rodman loop by 3:20 p.m. The Late Bus pick up is 3:25 p.m.

Bus passes
All bus passes have been handed out to students, including temporary passes. Bus passes will be checked by the bus drivers and students must have their passes to ride the bus. If you have any questions or concerns regarding bus passes, please visit or call the main office.

Student Morning Drop Off
The morning drop off has been relatively smooth. I thank you for your cooperation. A couple of reminders. Please use the main loop to drop off the students. You may also use the Rodman loop after 7:10 a.m. for drop off.

For safety reasons, please do not drop off in the following areas
1. The area between B and C building.
2. The staff and visiting parking lot.
3. The Rodman loop prior to 7:10 a.m. -- as it used by the buses

Thank you!
