Student Athlete/Parent Presentation- September 11 at 6:30 p.m.
From the CHS Athletics blog
The CHS Athletic Department is excited to announce formally, an important presentation taking place on Thursday, September 11th at 6:30pm in the CHS Auditorium. Attendance at this presentation is mandatory for any CHS student who is interested in participating in a sport at CHS this school year. It is requested that at least one parent attend as well.
This year's presentation will be highlighted by a visit by Kathi and Chris Sullivan. The Sullivans have both suffered tragedy and loss associated with substance abuse. Kathi lost her 17 year old daughter Taylor in a tragic drinking incident during her senior year at King Phillip Regional High School. Chris's NFL career came to an end as a result of substance abuse. Their combined message is incredibly powerful. We think it is important for both our student athletes and their parents to hear. (see link below)
We will also briefly review some new initiatives and new policies which impact student athletes at CHS this school year.
Please arrive early to be sure that we can get everyone checked in and seated so we can get our program started on time.
Any student athlete who is unable to attend, must notify the athletic office prior to the 11th.
A special thanks goes out to the CHS Athletic Booster Club and to the Canton Cooperative Bank for sponsoring our speakers that night. Without their work and generosity, programs like this would not be possible.
We are very excited to share this program with the Bulldog Community. See you on Thursday!
