A message from Superintendent Jeff Granatino

The Canton Alliance for Public Education (CAPE) will host their Annual Spelling Bee on Friday, November 22nd at 6 PM. This popular event will take place in the auditorium at Canton High School and is one of CAPE’s biggest fundraising events.

You can purchase tickets to the event at the door or you can order them online through the CAPE website. This information can also be found on the website.

CAPE continues to be a tremendous supporter of the Canton Public Schools and we hope you can join us for a fun night at the CAPE Spelling Bee on November 22nd.

Thank you.

Jeffrey Granatino
Superintendent

A message from CAPE

Thank you for your support of the November 22, 2013 CAPE Spelling Bee.
The money raised by the Canton Alliance of Public Education (CAPE) is used to fund grants that are awarded to the Canton Public Schools. CAPE awards grants for programs that challenge students to achieve their true potential. CAPE grants are awarded to creative programs in such areas as literacy, science, technology, the arts and student enrichment. Grants may also be awarded for curriculum materials and professional development that are not funded in the operational town budget. The grants provide a unique opportunity for teachers to try interesting and challenging programs that are not a part of the existing curriculum. CAPE has awarded 100 grants totaling $210,701 since 2004 (including  $19,366  in 2013).

The ticket costs are $5.00 per adult, $3 for children and seniors.
Cash and checks will be accepted at the door for tickets to the Spelling Bee but can be pre-purchased with a credit card here.

Please bring along your receipt on November 22, 2013 for proof of purchase.

Sorry no refunds are possible.

Cantonstock rocks CHS!

MusicCounts! fundraiser delights hundreds with music and games

The Performing Arts are reaching an amazing level in Canton. Cantonstock, the MusicCounts! fundraiser and community peforming arts event, attracted hundreds of students and families last Sunday. Participants experienced a variety of music performed by Grade 4-12 students and had the opportunity to enjoy food and games. This amazing community activity helps support the performing arts programs in Canton.

Also, many of our CHS musicians and singers put on quite a show at last week's Listening Lunch. Students and staff had the opportunity to enjoy the entertainment while they had lunch in the cafeteria.

To learn more about MusicCounts!, click here.

To learn more about the Performing Arts at CHS, see Ms. Tellyer, Mr. Thomas, or Mr. Whidden or click here.
