Please join us for our First Annual STEAM (Science – Technology – Engineering – Art – Math) EXPO on Monday, May 20th open from 4:30 – 8:30 p.m. in the Canton High School. This event is free to all Canton District families. There will be exhibits and “hands on” activities for all age levels. Don’t miss the opportunity to see how sneakers come to be, build a zip line design, meet out Robotics team and work with robots, determine to what degree our sun can be used to power cars, lights and more! How about catapulting a marshmallow to guard your castle, designing an alarm for your lunchbox or sailing a boat in a gutter? You’ll be able to investigate what STEAM careers might be in your future by meeting employees from Accurounds, Organogenesis, and Casesight Inc. Open the attached brochure to find a description of more than 30 exhibits.
Please note that Ed McDonough, TV/Broadcast Faculty, and his students, will be producing a LIVE TV Show at 7:00 p.m. A panel will be discussing the power of social media and technology. If you would like to be in the LIVE AUDIENCE, please email Ed McDonough at mcdonoughe@cantonma.org for tickets. There is a limit to the number of tickets being sold for the live show which will run from 7:00 to 7:40 p.m. You can enjoy the exhibits before or after the show!
