Welcome Class of 2017!
The CHS Link Leaders and staff welcomed over 200 Grade 9 students at today's Boomerang Project, an activity-filled orientation designed to build relationships and confidence heading into the school year. The Grade 9 students arrived at 8 a.m. and entered the CHS gymnasium to booming music and high-fives and cheers from the CHS Link Leaders.Coordinated by Assistant Principal Mr. McDeed and staff members Ms. Suillivan, Ms. Bauman and Ms. Blake, the 4th Annual Grade 9 Orientation involved an array of team-building games, tours around the building, question-and-answer sessions, and hellos from Mr. Folan, CHS principal, and Mr. Granatino, superintendent of Canton Public Schools.
Over 100 parents and guardians, meanwhile, met with Mr. Folan and Mr. Goff, Dean of Students, in the cafeteria to discuss the transition to CHS. Parents and guardians also had an opportunity to meet the guidance staff.
Our 60 Link Leaders were amazing -- great role models!
